... and there i splay, wide open to daystar's rays breathing heat into this mount's bare, ancient face... lost to the gods; far removed, all thought of man... my back sucking warmth from granite's mat... this lone child's heart once again finds promise... and hope... finally, understanding... as puny infant insects, we atop the might of nature's cut such pow'r as lay beneath the sea now evidenced; iced mon'lith's rut leaves in its wake this beauteous, grand, unchanging, vaulted majesty... and in her face; upon her brow is written runes for all to see: "These Be the Tales of Eons Past These Be a Testament for Time These Be, when All is at Its Last, The Living, Sole, Surviving Rhyme" Testament 17aug01 s Written August 31st, 2001 © on Aug 30 2001 07:04 PM PST, nancy may jeremiah nalley   0 • 8
