Pathways

Tis a Fractured Tale none the less,With Spiraling pathways, jutting into view across smothered sunsetsA pebble in tow, A tile loosened through footfall,Creases shimmering waves of mortar, sprinkling crumbs like angel dust.Lost without guidance. Let loose on a vaporous mirage,Teasing awareness out of a stationary figure rendered belligerent by the horizon.Once begun down a series of overlapping choices,Infinite by-ways scatter the imagination, eclipsing a distinct futureFocusing solely towards untrodden cobblestone becomes difficult. As the myriads of lifelines becomes engulfed by tomorrow’s shadowEncumbering passage, stalling a steady flow.Momentum slithers to a halt as echoing silence returns to the vastThe waxing of light returns to the present,Unveiling the unbroken chains, sluggishly wavering within ethereal fabricGently ushering conscience along a transparent escalator,Haphazardly weaving through spirits, around other pathways bound numb.Brief insights flashed violently across foggy eyesRevealing truths, masked to both onlookers and obscuring a lost Undercurrent.
