By sharmeka

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I'm going up a one way road It's long way home, and there's rubber to burn I'm flicking ashes out the window fearless in a minefield of pot holes and road kill I'm blinded by pest on the windshield One stop sign and no left turn I'm doing 85 up a dark road Its a long way home and I'm stoned again and again my car hits the curve I'm out of control as I swerve I'm split into bits at the drop of the cliff now I'm lying stone dead with my life..a blur.something to think about when you drink and drive.. written after my near death experience.. when I got in the car with a drunk driver Written November 18th, 2001 © on Nov 18 2001 02:53 AM PST   0 • 10
