I See Summer (the edited/spelled checked copy)
By sharmeka
I see the summer fun of sun rise each day to blind glorious sights of men with big crouches bulging in denim shorts their sticky tongues sticking out in lost breaths the Nubian gloss of their legs and arms moving systematically in the routine of jogging on the hot evening of any given day in summer where athletes stop only to catch the beat of their hearts to wipe their heat stroked foreheads with the back of their hands and then go on around the block a couple times or more with sun shined abdomens goals for desired appearances I see summer open without me it comes bronzing the collarbone of lilies young full figured single really single women filling in tub tops and slipping in spaghetti strap dresses batting lashes with the sunlight tip toeing on their eyelids They come from no where they just appear posing at cross walks fanning themselves with lusty stares of married men that will piss on their wedding vows to feel free of obligations I see summer fulfillment's for everyone but me who is hungry desperate hot in the face sitting on the porch pouting looking out at the horizon, with highlights in my hair watching strange flesh float by wondering why I can't show mine wondering will I ever be free of guidance the boundaries of youth to never step overthis poem came in pieces. finally written and done december 19, 2001 Written December 19th, 2001 © on Dec 19 2001 02:39 AM PST 0 • 10
