Open Chapter
By sharmeka
Today I sifted through the pages of the open chapter of us the big bulk of love letters the endless e-mails that dragged out the truth that we could not go on like this sending and resending paging and waiting for response dreams of ways to stand face to face with eachother and proclaim we love each other without even taking a breath I skipped past the pretty apologies of why you didn't write back I skipped past the pasted pictures of you on vacation stroked your authentic signature with my eyes your friendly goodbyes blinking and scrolling on the bottom It occured to me that we could cross the pacific just to be together, but we never did and why? I wondered if the answer was between the line So I stared at the loops and fancy fonts the attachments of your quickly written poetry Your word "love" crafted and highlighted I followed your voice down to the edge until there was no more..but void and space until the our signal became lost from our busy lives or was it because our hearts and minds collided and stay away in grudges? Then I tried to delete all the correspondence but I couldn't, I never will I'll never stop writing you and giving you chicken soup for the soul as long as the long as our chapter is openwritten for a friend I met a long time ago on the internet Written November 17th, 2001 © on Nov 17 2001 04:33 AM PST 18 • 0 • 10
