Misty Dreams of Real Life

By silvara

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

My heart aches as it always does But why this time? It’s different; another kind of pain My loneliness remains as it always has But now I feel a pain from a far As if from a near future Or a distant past All is strange, and misty We wait for change, as we see it come Then feel it pass So is life, our dreary torment But there stands a light in our darkness A light to bring me out I reach for it, like I reach for stars I can never touch it, but I feel it’s warmth So is my dream To one day grab hold and never let go One day it will come And so I wait If love hurts, loneliness kills Written February 18th, 2002 © on Feb 18 2002 11:30 AM PST   18 • 0 • 12
