Alcohol and cigarettes the "legal addicts" pair But profitable taxwise so no one seems to care "Illicit drugs" are different oh yeah,why is that so? It's for your own protection we care for you you know Come on now lets try and be sincere Do I remind you of a moron is that how I appear? Insulting me like that is this system's big mistake I see their eyes are open does this mean they are awake? Possibly in your dreams if you dream in black and white Everyone in the dreams just nods and says you're right This is not a dream it's here and it is now Anything I wish to do you want to tell me how The very idea of you running anything's amusing That it's lasted this long to me is so confusing Chosen by the people at least those easiest to fool Then sit upon your ass and make up silly rules The time and money wasted as politicians finger-point If laws applied to them they'd all be in the joint When these "laws" are written of sour grapes they're made They are tainted at best hardly worthy of being obeyed So very many laws filling thousands of books Half of them written by greedy elected crooks So many of our politicians have a strange idea you see "I make the laws therefore" "they don't apply to me" We make them for you all of our fellow man We know they may seem tough but do the best you can Then they disappear immune from our detection Not to be seen again until the next election If I could get face to face and tell them how I felt Some real severe punishment is what I would be dealt For this is the land they say of "Milk and Honey" Funny how most laws we have don't apply to those with money eak1999 Written November 15th, 2001 © on Nov 15 2001 01:01 PM PST   0 • 9
