Consciousness fades Reality remains And all i can do is stare doe-eyed into the light that used to live next door Feel the breeze as it crawls down my spine Cold water at my feet sinking ever deeper with nowhere to go but home Find my body and sustain the craving The gnawing in my side that drags me screaming for release from all who love who hope who weep My weakness in the shadow of the TurnPike keeps me running Keeps me afloat on this bitter drop of love Turn it off turn it off i want to drown I want to choke on all excess of existence I want what is not mine I need what is not yours I hunger for what is ours Ours to gain Ours to lose Ours that never will be Leave me on the roadside and tell me i'm in love (A kiss in the night can lead to many things) Written January 15th, 2002 © on Jan 15 2002 06:32 AM PST   0 • 1
