Do Not Fear

By SugaAngel

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Your faces we can not see. But with our hearts we can see and feel each one. As your bodies of innocence lie stiff with exhaustion and pain, Do not fear, the Lord is near. Screams and cries are heard throughout the nation. Panic and disarray sweep over us like the night. Our joyful whistles of the day are replaced with numbness and disbelief. Rise O Sweet Nation! We will not linger, but with benevolence we will stand together as we heal. Do not fear, the Lord is near.
