'The Long Road To Damnation'
There is death here. A misunderstanding, a fork in the road, Where I turned away from life in unyielding bitterness. The tears I have shed are crystallized, They shatter now, Shards cutting mercilessly into my cheeks, Battle wounds, Infected and swollen. It is a lonely road I travel, This long road to damnation, Dotted with vagabonds. Their tattered souls are reft with pain and shards of glass. We see each other with white eyes, Blind to the other's pain. Each of us is a broken mirror, A warped image, full of jagged edges. Angst junkies, parasitic of ourselves, We feed off our own pain. Suicide is branded on our eyes, Death is integrated into all I see, so that My blind eyes have 20/20 vision. Death lives here, In all I eat, know, see and breath, This, the sweetest poison.
