The Dance

By The Icelander

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I didn't know who she was, and I was unknown to her. As I looked at her, I saw her slip a glance towards my way, Her eyes locked with mine, I didn't know what to do. Walking towards me across the dance floor as if she was in a trance, Saying nothing to each other she took my hand and led me to the floor. Not paying any attention to anyone else, Her and I were lost in the moment. Holding her like I knew her for years, Even though we never met before. At the end of the song, Our lips met and touched for the first time, The music stopped and we never even noticed, We just held each other tight.
