You're Beautiful

By The Swagman

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

You’re Beautiful Your lips are as soft as the velvet dew And as sweet as the morning mist Over wildflowers blooming anew Under the morning sky gently kissed By the dawn’s light slowly creeping On the stars as they’re softly sleeping. Your hands are as gentle as a butterfly And as warm as a golden ray Of the sun as it crosses the sky Searching for the end of the day With a passion which burns so bright Then fades giving way to the night. Your eyes are as blue as the oceans deep And as bright as the brightest star In the night sky where angels sleep On soft white clouds drifting from far Beyond where our minds can measure The joys of their own sweet pleasure Your heart is pure like new fallen snow And loving like a gentle sea breeze As it kisses the moon’s soft glow Over rolling waves on steel grey seas As they caress a sandy beach On an island just our minds can reach.                                         By The Swagman Written November 14th, 2001 © on Nov 13 2001 05:31 PM PST   0 • 8
