As I Turn
By Traceyannrex
As I turn to seek God's face, the devil tries to keep his place. Walking in my Christian life, Satan throws me confusion and strife. The devil is used to having his way and he can't stand it when we say, "I just let Jesus in the door. Sorry, there's no room for you anymore." As I turn I feel a new wonder but the wicked one tries pulling me under. He'll stop at nothing for the fate of my soul, though he won't prevail when Jesus is my goal. Not for a minute will I believe the devil's lies and fighting this battle is worth the prize. To keep in my heart all that I hold dear, I know with God there is nothing to fear. As I turn to embrace the cross, like leaves in the wind my burdens are tossed. I have the power of Jesus' name, then Satan knows my soul is no easy gain. To reject God and His free gift of grace is to deny that Christ died in my place. Never to stray from the Master's side, in my heart His Spirit will always abide. As I turn, I thank God that He loves me so that He gave His only Son. For one precious moment when heaven looked away, God's will was done. Walking with Him to finish this race, my victory is seeing Jesus' face. Turning to live my eternal life, Satan is full of anger and strife. When at last on my head Jesus sets my crown, together we beat the evil one down. 2 Thessalonians 3:3 "The Lord is faithful and he will strengthen and protect you from the the evil one."March 2000, Written October 3rd, 2001 © on Oct 03 2001 07:28 AM PST 20 • 0 • 13
