Jesus

Lovely are my thoughts of You when I hear Your wonderful Name. The changes You make in me are for my good and for Your gain. You are mighty as the roaring lion and gentle as the lamb. To bring love and life in the hearts of a creature You call man. You're mighty in the heavens when You named each star in place. Yet Your greatest thrill of all is when I stop to seek Your face. I know You stand with me against the things that I can't fight, And when I use the power of Your Name, demons flee in fright. A coat of sin was Your second skin as You hung up on the cross. You bore the pain to provide the way so souls would not be lost. I see the scars with my very eyes when You take me by the hand, And because of Your unselfish love, for You I proudly stand. There in only One that can stand behind that might Name, Jesus - the Son of God and through flesh and blood He came.
