When Confronted With Sin
By Traceyannrex
When confronted with sin I would prefer not to see, So God brings me to a place I'd rather not be. Facing the things in my past, I'd soon just disregard. Then God has me deal with something that's hard. When confronted with sin, I don't want to face my shame, But there is no other - only myself to blame. What happened in my past, my reasons were justified, My motives were perfectly fine in my eyes. When confronted with sin, my tears run like a flood, Only to be cleansed by Your Son's precious blood. Through a humble heart repentance brings me closer to Him, To see how far I've come from where I've been. When confronted with sin, it is sin whether little or lots, One day I want to wear a robe that is free from spots. When I need encouragement all I have to do is look up above, And there in His arms find forgiveness and love. When confronted with sin, instead of saying "I'd rather not bother." Where would we be if Jesus said that to His Father? Written April 4th, 2000 © on Oct 07 2001 01:50 PM PST 0 • 13
