The Tapestry Of Colors

By Twilah

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Made with loving hands, our tapestry hangs, Withholding secrets carefully sewn in place.. Held strongly by the will not to let go of the past, Reflecting triumphs and obstacles we’ve faced. Each stitch represents a tear..shed in times alone, Carefully knotted, showing how tightly we’ve held on.. Even when all seemed so hopeless, a ray of light Would emerge from the many colors we’d sewn. Red portrays the dawning of our morning sun, Green stands for the walks on knolls of rolling grass.. Blue paints the sky under which we’d sit and dream, Grey..for times of trouble that would quickly pass. White symbolizes the purity of our love, that Seems to grow stronger with each passing day, Aqua reflects magnificence of the ocean deep.. Crimson..at sunset when we’d love the night away. Each brilliant color tells of stolen moments in time, Woven together to remain in each other’s heart.. A storing of precious secrets never to be told, But always to be treasured..whenever we’re apart. Twilah 2001 Written October 15th, 2001 © on Oct 15 2001 12:47 AM PST   0 • 8
