flying?

By unlikely savior

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

fly to the angels on imposed wings these are the banes my addictions bring. life hurts, day to day carrying on, hefting this weight forging on, no time to wait. alcoholic haze, gives comfort to my mind. numbs my pain, hides me from the world. safety in the bottle never to face reality again. the pain is too much, too much to bear. my heart is weighted down with pain and fear; maybe the alcohol helps it float... fly to the angels; i want to be home.third in the alcoholic haze series.
