I Died Thirsty

By Verse Us

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I awoke this morning to heavy air With a shadowing feeling of despair I did not open my eyes at first afraid I'd be hurt, shocked, or cursed I felt as though I was moving I opened my eyes but I saw nothing When I realized I was in a hearse I remembered dying of unquenchable thirstIt's kind of a riddle. It has a definite spiritual meaning. It's funny to me in a kind of crude cynical way. ;^) ~JFish~ Written August 11th, 2001 © on Aug 09 2007 01:26 PM PST   adult • humor • abuse
