“Footprints in the Snow”
By WindDancer J
“Footprints in the Snow” It was a cold winter’s night that chilled my bones It was the night we fought And you left me alone. Angry words were spoken, Our blood boiled, our tempers flared We said things we really didn’t mean, Just to hurt, ‘cause we didn’t cared. When you left me that night in tear, You Left your footprints in the snow. You Left me with bitter painful memories, But my fears and pain you’ll never know. Now how do I deal with the broken promises? How do I heal this brake in my heart? And how do I mend this shattered life. What could have caused us to drift apart? My darling I still love you, Now how will you ever see? I should have shown you my tears That fell like the autumn leaves. But something outside my window. I’m amazed by what I see, A second set of Footprints in the snow. It’s you, coming back to me Written February 2nd, 2002 © on Feb 02 2002 02:52 PM PST 0 • 8
