'He Loves Me! He Loves Me Not!'
By WindDancer J
“He Loves Me. He Loves Me Not” He loves me in the morning; He loves me most at night. He loves me Not when I’m boring, Or when it seems I’m right. He loves me when I leave him alone After working hard all week. He love me Not when he wraps my gift, And I try to sneak a peek. Sometimes I sit and wonder, Does he love me still? To ask him, would make him, Shy away feeling rather ill. He tells me never ask the question, For he’s still with me today. After twenty-four years of marriage, I guess he’s here to stay. At times I wish he’d show me, Just what I mean in his life. He points to my wedding ring and says, He’s proud that I’m his wife. Men are simple creatures; They don’t go for elaborate things. Men will show they love you, By wearing their wedding ring. ***Judith***A poem for my husband. Written November 15th, 2001 © on Nov 15 2001 12:25 PM PST 0 • 8
