'The Fates'

By WindDancer J

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

“The Fates” Once again the fates stepped in Much too late into my life. For although my heart belongs to you, I today become another’s wife. The light you shone down upon me, No longer will it brightly shine. For the fates too late, did step in And brought me all the wrong signs. This love I have that’s deep, true, and pure, Shall never belong to this other. This heart of mine will always belong to you, My one and only true lover. So once again the fates step in, Much too late into my life. I suffered alone, but not anymore, For today I become another’s wife.No stars please...just comments.
