Say farewell and lay to rest, The tears, the joy, the pain, the bliss Unpack my dusty filled hope chest My wants, my needs, I have missed The wind blows hardest near the end Ravishing a thread that binds us still Always wishful as a willow I do bend Disappointed to down another pill A leopard bears his claws and fangs Hunger satisfied, he saunters away Free without the slightest of pang Off to his den, where he will lay Fiery red consumes my soul Release the beast let it go Lest remains an ebony coal Shattering hope was foreknown Written July 29th, 2001 © on Mar 24 2002 09:39 AM PST   18 • 0 • 12
