I Would

By zuzus petals

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I would unzipSky from earthTo invent horizon.I would takeThe contents ofA million volcanoesCooled byThe waters Of the Atlantic And smooth itAcross the sky With all ten Of my plexi-glass fingersI would Break awayFrom civilizationJust to plasterRose petalsIn wreaths Around my ankles And dance In a showerOf emeralds.I would keepMy promiseTo paint With each Unleashed color Of sunriseAnd mix itWith the huesOf sunsetAnd recreate heartache Ten thousand Times over.I would project All my beautyIn my shadowWhich seems toPart with eachMovementI repeat in The back of My mindLeaving a Crimson wakeBehind meI would captureThis all in theSpace between my Retina and brainAnd replay it each nightThe moment before I fall into deep sleepLike the dying man Envisions his Own lifeBefore it ends.I didn't really know what to name this poem, if you have any ideas please do tell!
