A Reflective Scene.
By Andrew Hide
I sat in a bar, surrounded by my friends, everybody happy and laughing, the joy it never ends. I looked into the mirror, a reflective scene was found, everyone filled with content, high spirits all around. Except for one young man, sitting all alone, with sorrow on his face, happiness unknown. His eyes were dry of tears, behind the mask he wears, nobody really knows him, for nobody really cares. Memories of happy days, his tears have washed away, why look forward, to tomorrow? It's just another day. I gaze into the mirror, and he gazes back at me, I realise this sad and lonely man, is sad and lonely me.You can never be as lonelier, than when your lonely in a crowd.
