Dragon Angel.
By Andrew Hide
The sky is filled with glitter, and the clouds all roll apart, the whole world holds its breath at this heavenly work of art. The glitter turns to rainbows as a shaft of light appears, heavens touched this magical creature, the colour of fallen tears. With eyes that shine of blue, and wings laced with gold, she is the new evolution, from ancient Dragons, shes evolved. She lands down in a meadow, and a village gathers near, their faces full or wonder, but their eyes betray their fear. Forty feet of gun-metal gray, and eyes sapphire bright, the people can contain no-more, they turn and run in fright, A young girl falls down injured, as the creature's drawing near, the blood spilling from her leg, only adding to the fear. And as it bears down on her, this monster from the sky, the child knows, she hasn't a chance, and now she's bound to die. Licking its lips, it lowers its head, to the girl, screeming in the mud, and very gently places a kiss, on the injury, covered with blood. The girl now feeling no pain, gets up and runs away, the Dragon Angel flies of south, in search of other pray. Written March 16th, 2002 © on Mar 16 2002 09:29 AM PST, Andrew Hide 0 • 10
