Magic In The Lights

Sitting by the newly decorated tree, I breathe in that wonderful mint smell. I watch the lights twinkling, and blink. And in the background I hear a mix of holiday songs. I'm captivated by the light, for some reason it warms my heart and brings me peace. The tree is covered with icecicles and angels. And if you watch carefully you see the snowman dance. You can't tear your eyes off this tree. Chestnuts roasting by the fire . . . I wouldn't trade anything in for this peace that I feel. My body is calm, and for once it can relax. Blink, and sparkle of the lights. Gifts beneath ready for their owner. I can almost see the sight of the anxious children. I've never felt more alive. Maybe it's the season, maybe it's something in the water. Maybe it's because I know things are good, they finally turned for the better. I'm jubilant, and full of cheer, I don't remember ever being like this! I'm alive, I feel like yelling it from the top of a snow covered mountain. Sleep in heavenly . . . Such a beautiful sight, one that's truly rare. lace unwinding from its side, glass oranments that catch all the light. Such a tree . . .
