The Night The Ocean Claimed Me
By deviousgirl
It's kinda long, just preparing you!! Loving you killed me, and here's the story how. One night we were together, and I was the happiest I've ever been. We ran in night, and even ate by the ocean. We held each other's hands, and kissed one another lovingly. We decided to walk by the shore of the ocean, water lapping softly at our feet. The sun was setting, pink, purple, and gold. You held me in your arms, and set me upon the rocky jetti. Together we watched the tide fall in. The noises of the night, never more present then now. I stood, precariously upon the rocks. My dress slapping at my legs. I was listening to the sound, and straining to watch as the boats came in. Crumble, crack, and then I fell. Down, and further down I went. I finally fell in the icy cold water, it held me and refused to let go. I struggled to emerge from the waters grasp, but that feat seemed not possible. You watched, as though it wasn't real, but a nightmare, and soon you'd wake to find me by your side. I wasn't going to end up by your side tonight, for the time had come. You dove into the water to find my lifeless body. The current pulled me farther, and farther out. I couldn't seem to stay above the water. It filled my lungs, and turned my skin icy blue. I yelled for you to get me, but the wind didn't carry the sound far enough. Lights began to flash, and I saw this approaching tunnel. Peace flooded my body, and filled my heart. Then I was abruptly yanked back into the living. You dragged me out of the oceans clutches, not a moment to spare. Resting me upon the grainy sand, you willed me to live. My breathing became labored, and grew taxing on my body. I suddenly stopped, and you became scared. You willed me to live, and breathed your own life into my empty body. Attempt after atempt proved futile, no response from me. Again the flashing lights, and the echoing of sound. This time for good I was gone. You looked at me, and you stopped, knowing it to be true. You said that you loved me, and were oh so sorry. You brushed back my hair, and if you listen you can still hear the water lapping upon his feet. The wind stopped it's fury, and you carried me back home. Half expecting me to flutter open my eyes. Instead I grew colder, and colder. You began to cry, blaming yourself. My spirit whispered in your ear, how much I loved you. It said not to fear for now I was warm, and dancing by the fire. It finally said to never forget what you meant to me, and to always remember our fateful night at the oceans mercy. And this is the story of how I died by loving you!
