Don't Think of me

By Dragonpoet

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Don't think of me when tears are falling And sorrow is all you see For each day I walk upon this land I feel the threads of the past, Knowing I can't escape what was. Don't think of me when laughter lives And smiles is all you see For each day I walk upon this land I feel trapped in a shell, Knowing I can't escape from me. Don't think of me when you need a friend, And hope you need For each day I walk upon this land I am trapped in the shadows, Locked in a battle I can't win. Don't think of me when a child cries And sorrow is all you see For I was the child once Lost and alone, struggling to be Trapped in the shadows, Locked in a battle I can't win. Don't think of me when answers you desire For I hold no answers, Only questions. Written November 21st, 2001 © on Nov 21 2001 02:45 AM PST   0 • 1
