Remembering
By Dragonpoet
Today, with sun greeting fresh beginnings, My mind took a little rest, Allowing the ghost to flow, Knowing their voices need to be heard As the tears begin to flow, They march away one by one Like old friends to be cherished, Always to be remembered, and loved. Wanting to rest, but knowing the movie is on again, Watching the show, remembering all that was, Grieving for all that should of been, But knowing in the end, it is I who is stronger. Listening to the tears, soft and steady, Knowing I am what I am, Holding onto lessons learned, Passing down truths untold, Knowing tomorrow shall be As plainly as today slips away.
