six feet from the edge

By Dragonpoet

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Sometimes I am six feet from the edge, And maybe six feet is just far enough, so that here I remain, but sometimes... The darkness spirals all around me, And I find myself with my last breath, Just wanting to be held, to hear the whispers, That its gona be okay, that tomorrow will be better... Today is okay, today is fine day, A fine day to be alive, But yesterday, I knew only shadows... Sometimes I think I am falling, And maybe being six feet from the edge, Is far enough to make it through moment... But sometimes I need a hand to hold, A voice to tell me, everything's okay, That tomorrow will be a new day... Today is okay, a fine day to be alive, Today I see the light, smell the roses, Believing that everything is gona be okay, But sometimes I'm six feet from the edge....
