My beautiful dreamer

By FranticFad

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Locked away in the prison of a torn, bleeding heart Will you feel the soft winds of a promise of spring? Will you touch the warm light of the fresh living day? I have seen your true beauty, felt your great charm. Softly seduced by your vision and spectacular words, My heart you hold lightly in you soft shapely hands, My soul is entangled with yours on the bed The gulf lies between us, too far to engage My heart leaps aloft as you dance through my dreams In my dreams I will love you and secretly touch In the day I shall wake and live the sad truth Never to reach across that unfathomable gulf Written April 5th, 2002 © on Apr 05 2002 06:22 AM PST   0 • 8
