No One Hears
She stands in a crowded room. Yet, she is all alone. Screaming at the top of her lungs, But nobody hears her pain. Displayed in her best frock, An advert for hypocrisy. A shiny trophy for all to view, Her bruises stealthily concealed. Such a lovely innocent face, For a desperate helpless soul. Mummy's so proud of her. She hides her shame so well. Time for her to sleep now, It's more than the dark she's afraid of. He slathers on his expensive cologne, It wreaks of degradation and pain. She has the face of an angel. He is the devil incarnate. She is laying in her room. Finally, she is all alone. Screaming at the top of her lungs, But nobody hears her pain. Written November 8th, 2001 © on Nov 08 2001 08:09 AM PST 18 • 0 • 9
