Stolen Cookies (Challenge Poem)
Come out, come out wherever you are. You've done it now. You've gone too far. Who took my cookies from the cookie jar? I placed them carefully in the cupboard last night, Up high on the shelf and out of sight. Whomever nicked them . . . prepare to fight! I'm dusting for fingerprints and checking for clues I'd best not find out that it was any of you. For if I find you . . . you'll pay your dues. There has been much evidence left at the scene. Your getaway admittedly was not very clean. (You just thought before that your Mum was mean!) Ah ha! I found you hiding there behind the door. It matters not to me that you are only four !! From this day on you will steal no more. How can this little thief be a child of mine? On guard . . .take up your sword you little swine!!! On my very last chocolate chips you did dine. I will tell you son, you've put my patience to the test. You'd best learn your lesson just like all the rest. Never steal Mummie's cookies when she has PMS!
