Tribute to the Great Tabor

By JimmyCognition

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Gents and Ladies, let out a "Huzzah!" The fine knight and scholar, Tabor is here! With a friendly "Hullo!" and an endearing "sirrah", he's come to drive out every vestige of fear! His arm is mighty, his sword-point is keen, his wrath levels mountains, his anger drains lakes, he's the finest warrior our province has seen, He doesn't take much, but he earns what he takes. For Tabor's might is not of Tyrant, his blade is never unjust and seldom in haste. Wisdom and humility reside in  the frame of a giant, peerless, pious, and perfect is he, the best in his caste. Tabor, appointed guardian of the world's finest beauty, who slaves, protects, and defends, yet asks nothing, I thank ye, Tabor, and I thank you most truly God Protect the Great Tabor, Indiana's most cunning. This is a tribute poem I have written in order to pay a friend for a prize he won.
