Disfigured Shadows

By Malveasor

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Disfigured shadows Dance across the planes of glass ambitions Too eager Signs of “Thin Glass” are ignored Disfigured shadows Run rampant and molest the new day Foolishly thinking “Laws of gravity do not apply” Disfigured shadows Shame to their appearance to the population Dancing mad Far from the eye of any passersby Disfigured shadows Longing for a resolution and someone to cling Dwarfed senses They touch only their outer selves Disfigured shadows, Why will you not reach out to an attainable goal? Sing merrily As long as it comforts your soul Disfigured shadows Shrouded away from light and sight Shrink away Opposition is near and you will get hurt; or will you? Disfigured shadows Should not invest so much time into seeking fantasy Embrace me… And know oblivion’s eternal bliss Embrace yourself, and find that you have had what you wanted all along.3/5 of a series written in honor of a friend/enemy.
