it was only a dream but what i see next to me across the border from fantasy to reality is a sleeping elderly man with a stressed receding hairline exhausted layering flesh-folds and a cancerous mental cavity this man does not have much time left and i pity him or do i? for once the obscure vale is lifted and i can see i am this man's dream he is on his last few breaths short heartbeat couplets follow and when he dies he can no longer dream and so shall it be that i too shall die Written April 4th, 2002 © on Apr 03 2002 07:59 PM PST   10 • 0 • 1
