Always There

You're always there, When I'm hurting. You're right there for me, When I'm in pain. The times when I need to talk to you most, The times when you promise a word, You're there. You're always there. So last night, When I needed you to tell me everything was ok... You were there. Last night, I needed you To hold me And make everything all right... And you were there. I always know, What I'm going to do When I need you, Because you're always there. I know what I am supposed to do, When I need your shoulder To rest my head on, And cry my tears. I figured out how to do this, Because you're always there When I need you to be There for me. But can I make this work? When I'm finally ready to open, Ready to tell you all... Will you be there? I don't know what I will do, If I am looking For comfort from you, And you're not there. I don't know If I can stand to shed tears, Cry by my self, If you're not there. So I'm telling you now, Just as you wished I won't know what to do When you're not there. You said you'd be there last night, You said we'd talk. And when I called on you, You were there. So now I'm sitting here, Writing a poem Dedicated to you So you will know. I don't know If I can hold on. Can I depend on you To be there? Because, I can depend on you On you for anything... Right? Because, You know the pain I feel, And you'd never leave me alone... Right? I know, You're not like them all, And I can put my trust in you... Right? What I'm wondering now, Is that, If that's the case What happened tonight? Tonight I needed you And you, My dependable buddy, Weren't there...This poem is "Never There" reworded to fit my situation...I think I like this one better.
