If I Could Paint
By Monkei
If I could paint, What I feel. If I could put it on a canvas. It would be a mixture, Of calming blues, Invigorating greens, And blood reds. If I could paint, What I feel. If I could put it on a canvas For the whole world to see. I would paint of laughter, And sorrow. I would paint of smiles, And tears. If I could paint, What I felt today. If I could put it on a canvas. I would paint fields of flowers, And a little summer shower. I would paint, a bright shining sun, And a sunset to remember. If I could paint, What I felt today. If I could put it on a canvas. I would paint a beautiful dawn, That would fade into a beautiful day, That would fade into a beautiful night. Today, My friend, Has been beautiful. Thanks, to only, you. But I can't paint. So I'll write you a poem, Telling you, What I would paint, If I could paint, What I felt toay. Not a great poem, I don't think. But it matches what I'm feeling, and I guess that is all that counts. Written March 28th, 2002 © on Mar 28 2002 11:42 AM PST, Katie 0 • 10
