Spoke the Devil to the Lord:        'I know I won it fare and square          But you don't understand          The things down there are really mean          And one of 'em bit my hand.'Then said God in return:        'Sure you think they're hard to deal with          Trust me, bud, I've been there          But they'd not nibble on your fingers          IF you just took better care.'The Devil wined some more:        'Look, you really don't seem to get it          Those things that you have made          They're terrible, I tell ya          I wouldn't go back if I were paid.'God sighed then with great patience:        'Give them one more chance, my friend          They're really not that bad          ANd all those crazy fashions          Are just a silly fad.'The Devil threw the prize then and left with his final words:        'No, I tell you I'll not have it          You've got 'em trained too well          Those things are worse than me, you know          I'm goin' home to hell.'Then God picked up the object and chuckled to himself:        'I knew you guys would bug him          I knew you'd leave him fumin'          There ain't nothing else on Earth, you know          As crazy as a Human.'Do pardon my somewhat morbid sense of humor Written August 17th, 2001 © on Aug 17 2001 01:56 PM PST   0 • 14
