The Reel

By Morgan LeFay

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I step first and then you follow Now 'tis away we go To laugh and cry and find a way Through mountains steep with age And meadows filled as starry cups With tiny blooms that swing low there We run now with the winds' first pace And scramble when we must Now the trees enfold our flight We leap through branches new Into the sky to meet the birds And dive beneath the sea But there we rest and sleep our fill Till daybreak come again So dance we now forever And never shall we end Written March 1st, 2002 © on Mar 01 2002 06:59 AM PST   0 • 13
