I look up and see an icy waterfall frozen by my feelings, No more shall tears fall from this cold mountain up top, Life is still as the green fades to black, Bleak is all that I can see as I contemplate the fate of me. The sun never shines on this charred faceless land, Desolate and in ruins since time has appeared, Shadows fall across the land leaving no glow in it's wake, My mind is falling apart as going to waste is my heart. Centuries have passed since this barren land Has seen the light of day shine on it's face, Just one ray of light is all it needs to gain hope, To gain trust, to gain might, to gain confidence, to gain life. From the corner of the world the sun rises in a warming glow, Beautiful rays of sunshine cut through the dusky clouds, The darkness diminishes as the sun brings hope, The warmth touches my face as I am drawn into it's embrace. What was once black scars that stretched across the land Are now foundations of glory and hope at peace forever, This once doomed land is now flourishing with life, All because of a need for one thing, something no one else could bring.
