War
By Spiderman
The pain one feels on the battlefield The horror that they see. The truth about human nature The torture of war's not make believe. Each day millions die, as others fall to the ground Clutching missing parts that are scattered around. Screaming in pain and agony those days Wondering who was going to make the enemy pay. Why protect those that are home still in bed. With wonderful dreams dancing around in their heads. While your out in a field surrounded by dead, Helping in the cause, with all of your friends. The years they crawl by as your down in a trench Or maybe you were lucky and you're in a tank instead. But it could even get better you could be a pilot or marine And there are very good chances that you'll never be seen. Such little time you have to see family and friends. Until the war comes close to an end. That's when you discover that many of them are dead. Killed by the bombs that had flown overhead. Then you notice your alone once again. And you sit in you home wishing you had stayed here instead. Written November 20th, 2001 © on Nov 20 2001 03:06 AM PST 0 • 9
