She went through life a mile a minute Tasting the world like she had just been born She ran into a heart-hardened glass wall And came to see it as reality She beat her fists against the glass Till it shattered and cut into her She lay herself bare for a moment of rest And found herself sobbing on the floor One minute she was a child, Carefree... now she was a vagabond Rough and worldly and still beautiful Even though she didn't know it A life, interrupted by madness A trail of her salty tears A truth, interrupted by beauty A girl, interrupted by truth I can still taste her salt on my lips As I kiss her cold cheek good night I have been interrupted from love By death, that serenityto ellen Written January 17th, 2002 © on Jan 17 2002 02:03 AM PST   0 • 8
