'My Grandmother's One Breast'
My grandmother's one breast Stands like a mountain, Next to a molehill. A precipice to fall off of. Her wispy hair falls out, [as she tells her doctors of the Reba wig she's bought and of the special bras she wants them to pay for] A humming machine shoots laser beams Like an X-Man. Killing (her) cells Breast cancer eats away The tiny woman who raised me With 7 angel pins on her shirt Protruding on the left, Fallen like a tear on the right. (pin on her bag says "Uppity Women Unite" She gave me everything I have)short, but this is about my Grandma Rose Thorn (that is her name) who has breast cancer, spreading... she is in her 5th phase of chemotherapy today. She wears an enormous fire-red wig that looks like something out of the original Star Trek. I lived with her for the first 5 years of my life. SHE IS AWESOME.
