At the End

I found your wings today I saw them laying barren and soiled in a corner of my mind I had once forgotten. I followed the trail of feathers and I saw a lost soul placed helpless on the ground, you were there, but your back was turned. I cried out to you, I told you to look at what you've forgotten, told you to look into his eyes, their your eyes too. I then realized why I found your wings, they had fallen off because of your thoughtlessness, proving you were no ones angel. I tried to talk to you but as the words came out of my mouth I saw you getting smaller and smaller until you were as helpless as your son, and as you began to cry I could only look on in disgust with the fulfillment of knowing that it was time for you to truly grow up.
