A Memory of Love
By Wings
Our love was wild full of youth and foolishness, testing, trying, learning. Time filled our minds with useful things, home, work the children We drifted apart and could not find our way back. We were lost, lost from each other and lost in our own lives. We moved on. Though our paths crossed from time to time our hearts never connected again. We grew up.... then we grew old. I have long since released the pain even replaced it with more. I must challenge myself to stir a memory. But sometimes I hear a song play Or see a tree in an open field with a tire swing. I close my eyes and we are together again young and in love. Written October 24th, 2001 © on Oct 24 2001 01:51 PM PST 0 • 8
