Empty Pocket Prison
By Wings
I took myself out shopping, I really had no means I used a credit card Simple; so it seems. My credit card was welcome I nearly every store . Before I paid for this trip , I went out and bought some more. This was just too easy The card controlled my will . All my heart desired ; Then I got the bill . I am in a prison now . though bars you will not see . I found my own self guilty The warden here is me . I do regret what I have done You would think I could have stopped it Before I put myself in the Prison of empty pocket. This rhyme is about 10 years old . I am still serving time Wings Written October 26th, 2001 © on Oct 26 2001 01:10 PM PST 20 • 0 • 14
