Unbent Knees
By Wings
In this world of new found wonder, We build cities with no blunder. We can turn a field into a mall, Cross the world with just a call. We call this our promised land, Love your neighbor lend a hand. We ourselves have been deceived , forgotten what we once believed. In God we trust was our rule, Now we cannot pray in school. Children who were once our dream, wake from sleep in piercing screams. Fathers who were once our guide , Have filled their hearts with foolish pride. A mothers heart seeks her own glory. America is this your story? We are weak from un bent knees , to proud to pray , our God to please. Thus we have sealed our own fate. Least we change before to late.
