Tell the Children

By Wings

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Hear me little children Be quick and be alert. Not all grown up’s are friendly Children they will hurt. Never talk to strangers. Don’t get in their car. Don’t even tell your name If you don’t know who they are. If you should get lost While in a public place, Look for a policeman Not just a friendly face. Always play where others play, Don’t hide or be alone. Know your parents by their name Learn how to use a phone. Should someone try to grab you Kick and bite and scream. Some adults aren’t very nice Some are even mean. Don’t touch or hug or kiss, If it does not feel right. Even if you love them, Tell, put up a fight. If it is Mom or Dad, Grandpa or Uncle Joe That make you feel uncomfortable Tell someone else you know. Tell a teacher, tell a friend, Tell until someone hears you. Don’t be afraid to tell the truth If anybody hurts you. Written October 24th, 2001 © on Oct 24 2001 08:40 AM PST   0 • 9
