When I am Ready

By Yellowbook

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I need something in my life that is solid and secure. Someplace that I can escape to. Where I can close out any worries and open up to more peaceful things. To where my heart is always happy, to where I can find myself. I know now that nothing is in my hands. I used to think I had it figured out and planned on my dreams coming true. But it took 1 day to change my life and a memory I can never erase. So when I'm ready to smile. When I can enjoy things I once loved again, my petals will open and soak in the sun for my soul to breathe. I am counting, praying, and hoping that the day will come, and I will be ready.Writer's Block!!!! aaahhhhhhhh Written April 2nd, 2002 © on Apr 02 2002 12:50 PM PST   18 • 0 • 12
